About Course
In this term’s Agricultural Science course, students will begin by learning the meaning of farm animals, exploring their definition, characteristics, and importance in agricultural production. They will then study the different classes of farm animals, such as mammals, birds, and fish, and understand how these classifications help farmers manage livestock effectively.
The course will also cover the various uses of farm animals, including their roles in providing food, labor, income, and raw materials like leather and wool. Afterward, students will shift focus to common farm weeds, where they will identify major weed species, understand their harmful effects on crops, and learn about their growth patterns and control methods. This section will deepen students’ understanding of how weeds compete with crops for nutrients, space, and light, ultimately reducing farm productivity, and highlight strategies for effective weed management.
