About Course

This term in Physical and Health Education, you will learn how to move your body in different ways, play exciting sports, and take care of your health and safety.

You will begin by learning about locomotive movements—these are ways your body moves from one place to another, like walking, running, hopping, and skipping. Then, you’ll move on to non-locomotive movements, which are movements done without moving from your spot, like bending, twisting, stretching, and balancing.

Next, you’ll be introduced to athletics field events, especially the long jump, where you’ll learn how to jump as far as you can. After that, you’ll explore track events such as the relay race, where team members run and pass a baton to one another.

Later in the term, you’ll enjoy playing team games like football, where you’ll practice passing, shooting, and teamwork, and also table tennis, where you’ll learn how to hit the ball over the net using a small bat.

At the end of the term, you’ll learn about the first aid box—what it contains and how it helps people when they get hurt.
