About Course

This term in Mathematics, you will continue working with graphs, especially linear graphs with two variables, helping you understand how two changing quantities relate on a straight line. You’ll also learn how to draw the graph of a linear equation.

Next, you’ll study angles, including how to calculate angles in a polygon, as well as special types like the angle of elevation and depression, which are useful for understanding heights and distances. You’ll also learn about bearings, which are ways to describe direction using angles.

The second half of the term focuses on data and measurement. You’ll learn how to organize numbers using a frequency table, and how to represent them with a pie chart. Then, you’ll explore probability, which helps us understand chances of events happening. Finally, you’ll learn Pythagoras’ Theorem, a special formula used to find the length of sides in a right-angled triangle.
