About Course

This term in Mathematics, you will start by learning how to add and subtract numbers using a number line. This will help you understand how numbers move forward or backward.

Next, you’ll practice estimation, which means making a smart guess when exact numbers aren’t needed. After that, you’ll learn about percentage and ratio — these help compare parts of things, like sharing snacks fairly.

You’ll also be introduced to algebraic expressions, where letters like x and y are used to stand for numbers. Then, you’ll learn how to calculate profit and loss when buying and selling things, which is useful in everyday shopping or business.

Later, you’ll explore simple interest, discount, and commission, all of which deal with money and how it changes in saving, borrowing, or selling.

You’ll learn how to find the perimeter of plane shapes, which is the distance around the edge of shapes like squares and triangles. Then comes volume and capacity, where you’ll measure how much space a container can hold.

Finally, you will study time using the 24-hour clock, so you can tell time correctly like it’s used in timetables, airports, and official settings.
