About Course
This term in Mathematics, you’ll explore some advanced and exciting topics that combine algebra, geometry, and calculus.
You’ll begin by learning how to draw and interpret the graphs of trigonometric ratios such as sine, cosine, and tangent. These graphs help show how these functions behave over different angles. After that, you’ll move on to plotting quadratic graphs, which are U-shaped curves that help in solving and analyzing quadratic equations.
In the second half of the term, you’ll be introduced to Differentiation and Integration of algebraic functions. Differentiation teaches you how to find the rate at which one quantity changes in relation to another—very useful in science and real-life problems like speed and growth rates. Integration is the reverse process; you’ll learn how to find areas under curves and accumulate values over an interval. These are the building blocks of calculus and are essential for fields like engineering, physics, and economics.
