This course provides a practical exploration of personal care, cooking techniques, and basic sewing skills. It begins with a revision of last term’s work, ensuring students build upon their previous knowledge.

The course then delves into methods of cooking, focusing on boiling and roasting as essential cooking techniques. Students will learn the principles, benefits, and appropriate applications of each method to enhance their culinary skills.

The course also emphasizes personal grooming and the use of basic cosmetics, guiding students on how to maintain personal hygiene and appearance. Students will gain an understanding of personal clothing, covering topics related to selecting and caring for clothing that suits different occasions and purposes.

A significant portion of the course is dedicated to exploring reasons for wearing clothes, examining the cultural, social, and practical aspects that influence clothing choices. Students will also learn how to prepare liquid soap, including the necessary materials and steps for creating a simple cleaning solution at home.

Further, the course covers the uses and care of simple liquid soap, ensuring students understand its benefits and how to properly store and maintain homemade soap. Lastly, the course introduces basic stitches, providing students with the foundational sewing skills needed to perform simple repairs or create simple sewn items.

By the end of the course, students will have gained practical knowledge and skills in cooking, personal care, clothing management, soap-making, and sewing, empowering them to manage daily tasks with confidence.
