About Course

This term introduces learners to important home economics skills for daily life. It begins with laundry agents, tools, and equipment, helping students understand the items needed to keep clothes clean and well cared for. Learners will also be taught how to prepare starch to keep fabrics neat and crisp.

The course covers healthy living through lessons on adequate diet (balanced diet), explaining the types of food needed for proper growth and good health. Students will learn about deficiency and malnutrition, understanding what happens when the body does not get enough of the right nutrients.

Practical cooking skills are developed through lessons on the baking method, and students will also learn how to make snacks and fruit drinks, encouraging creativity in simple food preparation. Finally, the course teaches basic stitches, giving learners the skills to carry out simple sewing tasks and repairs.
