About Course
This term’s Home Economics curriculum introduces students to personal resources, exploring their meaning and the importance of caring for personal belongings to encourage responsibility and organization. Learners will then study food safety, including how to prevent food contamination and the practices necessary to keep food safe for consumption.
The term also focuses on cooking skills, beginning with the basics of food preparation and progressing through a variety of cooking methods. In the later weeks, students will have opportunities to experiment with different cooking techniques and evaluate the outcomes of their dishes, developing both practical skills and the ability to assess their own work critically.
