About Course
This English Language scheme covers an extensive range of linguistic skills and literary knowledge aimed at strengthening students’ grasp of phonetics, grammar, composition, and comprehension. It begins with revision on vowel and consonant sounds and progresses to diphthongs, monophthongs, and stress patterns. Throughout the term, students build on their knowledge of speech sounds while mastering grammatical structures such as question tags, noun phrases, verb tenses, auxiliary verbs, and modals.
Additionally, the scheme integrates various writing forms including informal and formal letters, argumentative and narrative essays, descriptive and report writing. Literary elements are woven in through the study of drama, unseen prose, and poetry. There is also a continuous focus on vocabulary development, figures of speech, and comprehension, enabling students to analyze and interpret texts effectively. Overall, the curriculum blends oral, written, and analytical components to develop well-rounded language skills.
