About Course
This English Language scheme covers key areas of speech work, reading, grammar, structure, and writing to help students develop comprehensive language skills. The term begins with practice in making verbal reports, statements, and formal speeches, including talking at interviews and reading valedictory speeches. Students will also work on pronunciation, expressing wishes and suppositions, and giving expository speeches, while enhancing their vocabulary through the teaching of new words, their meanings, and comprehension passages.
In writing and structure, learners will focus on crafting emails, text messages, autobiographies, biographies, and various compositions such as “My Favorite Sport” and “How I Will Spend My Coming Holidays.” They will also explore informal letters, functional words, punctuation, main clauses with conditional ‘if’, indefinite pronouns and adverbs, and singular/plural forms. The curriculum is designed to strengthen grammar through sentence building, the correct use of prepositions like ‘in’ and ‘at,’ and reviewing guides to essay writing, while dictation and supplementary reading support literacy fluency.
