About Course

This term’s creative arts curriculum offers learners a rich blend of visual and performing arts experiences. It begins with an introduction to weaving using paper, which helps students understand patterns and hand coordination, followed by mosaic art, which introduces design using small, colorful pieces to create images or patterns. Music is then explored through the study of musical notes and their values, as well as creating music using tonic sol-fa notation, enhancing rhythm and pitch recognition.

In the second half of the term, students engage in drama and dance, starting with creating a play that promotes values such as honesty, integrity, and a good work ethic. They learn expressive movement through dance motifs, and progress into acting techniques, including impersonation—a vital skill in character portrayal. The term concludes with a focus on developing character in a play, allowing students to integrate all they’ve learned into expressive performance and storytelling
