Cultural and Creative Arts

This course introduces pupils to the rich cultural heritage expressed through traditional dresses, fabrics, music, and dances. The term begins with identifying various traditional clothing and materials used by different ethnic groups, followed by a focus on the importance of these cultural attires in ceremonies, identity, and storytelling.

In the second half of the term, pupils explore traditional dances and music, learning their role in celebrations and community life. The course concludes with an engaging study of traditional fashion and accessories, where pupils observe how items like beads, headgears, and shoes complement traditional attire, fostering appreciation for Nigerian cultural expressions.
