ABOUT THIS COURSE: This course begins with an introduction to the meaning and importance of civic education, highlighting its role in shaping responsible and active citizens. Students will explore the concept of values, including their significance in society and different types of values that guide individual and collective behavior.
The course also addresses the right to self-defense and how individuals can legally protect themselves in various situations. Emerging societal issues will be examined, with a focus on their impact on communities and ways to address them.
A significant part of the course covers health-related topics, including HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), their prevention, and the effects of stigmatization on people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). The discussion emphasizes the importance of awareness, empathy, and support for affected individuals.
Finally, the course explores the importance and benefits of youth empowerment, highlighting ways young people can develop skills, gain opportunities, and contribute positively to society.
