About the Course: Creative and Cultural Arts
This engaging course combines environmental science and creative arts, designed to help young learners develop an appreciation for the natural world while exploring their artistic skills.
Course Overview:
- Understanding the Environment
Students will be introduced to the concept of the environment, including its elements like air, water, land, plants, and animals. They’ll explore why the environment is essential for life, discovering how it provides resources such as food, water, and shelter. Emphasis will also be placed on the importance of protecting and caring for the environment. - Line Designs
Through creative exercises, students will learn about the use of lines in design. They’ll explore various types of lines and practice creating unique patterns, helping them understand how lines form the basis of many art forms. - Modeling with Clay or Plaster
In this section, students will work hands-on with materials like clay or plaster, learning basic techniques to model objects. This part of the course will enhance their fine motor skills and encourage imaginative creation. - Exploring Flowers
Students will study different types of flowering plants, learning to identify and appreciate their diversity. Later, they will practice drawing flowers, translating their observations into art and developing foundational drawing skills.
