About Course
This subject covers essential biological systems in both animals and plants. It begins with the study of tissues and supporting systems, focusing on the structure, types, and functions of tissues in living organisms, as well as how skeletal and structural systems provide support. Students will then explore mammalian teeth, learning about different types, their adaptations, and their roles in feeding. The digestive system and digestion will be examined, covering the organs involved, digestion processes, and nutrient absorption in mammals.
The course then shifts to transport and circulatory systems, starting with how nutrients, gases, and waste products are transported in animals and extending to the transport system in higher plants, including xylem and phloem functions. Finally, students will study the respiratory system, focusing on its structure and function in mammals, before concluding with respiration in plants, comparing gaseous exchange mechanisms in both kingdoms. This comprehensive study provides students with a solid foundation in biological processes essential for life.
