About Course

This course will introduce students to building materials, exploring the types, properties, and uses of materials commonly used in construction, such as wood, cement, metals, and glass. Students will gain foundational knowledge on how these materials are selected and applied in building projects to ensure strength, durability, and safety.

The course will then focus on drawing instruments and materials, teaching students how to properly use tools like T-squares, compasses, set squares, and drawing boards for technical and architectural drawings. Through several weeks of board practice, students will apply these tools to create precise, professional-quality drawings, building their skills in drafting, accuracy, and design presentation—important foundations for careers in architecture, engineering, and building technology.
