About Course

This term, you will learn many interesting things about soil, plants, water, your body, and food.

You’ll start by learning about the composition of soil—the different parts that make up soil like sand, clay, humus, and small stones.

Next, you’ll study the growing of plants and what they need to grow well, such as air, water, sunlight, and good soil. You will also learn about the conditions needed for growing crops.

Then, you will learn the difference between plants and weeds, and how to tell which ones are helpful and which ones are not. You will also discover the pests and diseases that can harm crops and how to protect the plants from them.

You will also learn about water—why it is important and how we use it in our daily lives.

Later, you’ll study the human body, especially the feeding system, which helps you digest food and get energy.

Then, you’ll learn about balanced diets and how to eat the right kinds of food to stay healthy.

Finally, you will explore more about food—where it comes from, how it helps your body, and the importance of eating different types of food for good health.
