About Course
This term’s curriculum introduces learners to essential biological and physical science concepts. The term begins with a focus on reproduction in plants, helping students understand how plants reproduce through various methods like pollination and germination. It then moves to identifying and distinguishing between domestic and wild animals, highlighting their characteristics and roles in the environment. Midway through, the curriculum explores environmental science with lessons on the control of soil erosion, emphasizing how human activities can affect natural balance.
In the latter part of the term, the focus shifts to physical science concepts. Students learn about energy, particularly heat and its relationship with temperature, including the symbols and units used. They are then introduced to the structure of matter, learning about particles and atoms, followed by the states of matter (solid, liquid, gas). The term wraps up with lessons on materials and how to maintain them, fostering awareness of resource management and preservation.
