About Course

This term’s curriculum focuses on environmental science and basic plant biology. Students begin by learning about environmental quality, understanding what makes an environment clean, healthy, and suitable for life. The class then explores changes in our surroundings, with a special emphasis on soil erosion—its causes, effects, and preventive measures. This is followed by a comprehensive study of pollution, including the types of pollution (air, land, and noise) and their impacts on health and the ecosystem.

As the term progresses, attention turns to waste disposal, where students learn different methods of managing waste properly and the consequences of improper waste handling. Lessons include identifying types of waste, distinguishing between biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials, and ways waste contributes to environmental degradation. In the final weeks, students study how human activities cause pollution and are introduced to the process of reproduction in plants, helping them appreciate how plant life sustains ecosystems and supports life on Earth.
