About Course

This course explores two critical areas of environmental science: fishery and forestry, highlighting their importance to ecosystems and human livelihoods.

The first half of the term is dedicated to fishery, where students will learn about the different methods of fish cultivation, harvesting, and preservation. They will also study the ecological and economic significance of fisheries, including sustainable fishing practices that ensure the preservation of aquatic resources. Practical knowledge and skills in managing fisheries will be emphasized to promote self-reliance and environmental stewardship.

The second half of the term focuses on forests and their uses, covering the types of forests, their ecological roles, and the diverse products they provide, such as timber, medicinal plants, and food. Students will examine the sustainable management of forests, the impact of deforestation, and the importance of conservation efforts to combat environmental challenges like climate change. The course equips students with knowledge to appreciate and protect natural resources for future generations.
