About Course

This term in Agricultural Science, you will learn how to take care of crops, protect them, and make sure they grow well.

You will start by learning about ways to preserve farm produce so they don’t spoil quickly. This includes methods like drying, salting, or storing them in cool places.

Next, you’ll look at the materials needed to grow crops, such as good soil, water, seeds, sunlight, and tools.

You will also learn about safety measures when using farm chemicals, like wearing gloves and masks to protect yourself while spraying or applying fertilizers and pesticides.

Then, you’ll be introduced to how to raise ornamental plants—these are plants we grow mainly to make our homes and environments beautiful, like flowers and decorative shrubs.

Finally, you will learn how to prepare compost manure, which is a natural fertilizer made from things like food waste and dried leaves to help crops grow healthy and strong.
