This term’s Accounting curriculum begins with the Purchase of Business, introducing students to how businesses acquire others and how such transactions are recorded in financial books. In Week 2, learners study Accounting Ratios and how to interpret financial statements, equipping them with tools to assess a business’s performance. Public Sector Accounting is then introduced in Week 3, highlighting how government entities manage and report their finances.
Then, the focus shifts to Branch Accounts, beginning with the concept and followed by practical preparation of branch accounts, enabling students to handle accounting for businesses with multiple locations. The term wraps up with an Introduction to Data Processing, providing foundational knowledge on how accounting data is collected, organized, and processed using technology. This progression ensures a balanced mix of financial, managerial, and digital accounting concepts.
