About Course
This term in Mathematics, you will start by revising whole numbers, learning how to read, write, and work with them in different ways. After that, you’ll explore demography, which is the study of people—like how many people live in a place, their age groups, and how this information is used.
You’ll also work with fractions, ratios, and proportions. You’ll learn how to compare parts of a whole, share things fairly, and solve problems that involve comparing two groups or amounts. This includes understanding the ratio of two populations—for example, comparing the number of boys to girls in a class. Later on, you’ll focus on percentages and how they are used to describe parts of a whole in real life, like finding test scores or discounts. The term will end with practice on the four basic operations—multiplication, subtraction, addition, and division—to help you solve everyday math problems more confidently.
