About Course

This term in Mathematics, you’ll focus on topics that deal with measurement, construction, and data handling — all of which are useful both in exams and in real life.

You’ll begin with the Measurement of Solid Shapes and Circles, where you’ll learn how to calculate the surface area and volume of different 3D objects, including cylinders, cones, and spheres. This includes learning how to apply the right formulas and understand the parts of each shape.

Then, you’ll move on to finding the Volume of a Frustum — a special type of solid formed when the top part of a cone or pyramid is sliced off. You’ll use formulas to calculate how much space this shape takes up.

Next, you’ll practice Construction using a compass and ruler. This includes drawing accurate angles, bisectors, and geometric shapes, helping to sharpen your precision and drawing skills.

The rest of the term will focus on Statistics. You’ll learn how to collect, organize, and interpret data. This will include drawing and reading charts, graphs, and frequency tables, as well as calculating mean, median, and mode. These skills will help you understand data and make smart conclusions based on numbers.
