About Course

This term, you’ll start by learning how to solve a simple equation — this means finding the value of a missing number in a math sentence, like figuring out what number makes both sides equal.

Next, you’ll explore geometry, beginning with plane shapes such as squares, rectangles, circles, and triangles. You’ll learn to name and identify these shapes based on their sides and corners.

You’ll also learn how to find the perimeter of regular shapes, which means measuring the total length around shapes like squares and triangles.

After that, you’ll move into three-dimensional shapes, like cubes, cylinders, and cones. These are shapes that have length, width, and height — just like real objects around you.

Later, you’ll be introduced to different types of angles, including corresponding angles, alternate angles, and vertically opposite angles — important ideas in geometry that help you understand how lines and angles work together.

Finally, you’ll explore statistics, where you’ll learn how to collect, organize, and make sense of data using charts, graphs, or tables. This will help you see how numbers tell stories in real life.
