About Course
This term’s Christian Religious Studies curriculum focuses on the power and teachings of Jesus, as well as the nature of God’s laws and His relationship with humanity. The term begins with stories that highlight Jesus’ authority over nature, such as calming the storm, and His compassion and healing power, like the recovery of Peter’s mother-in-law. Students will also study how Jesus raised the dead, examining the miracles involving Jairus’ daughter and the widow’s son, showing His dominion over life and death.
In the latter part of the term, students will reflect on Jesus’ power over evil and discuss how to identify bad influences in society and ways to help transform them. The curriculum then shifts to understanding God as the lawgiver, studying how God reveals Himself and delivers His laws to guide human behavior. These lessons aim to deepen students’ moral awareness and encourage them to live righteously in accordance with biblical principles.
