About Course

This term’s Basic Science course focuses on two key areas: the human sense organs and soil types, with special emphasis on sandy soil.

Sense Organs and the Five Senses

Students learn about the five main sense organs and how they help us interact with the world:

  • Eyes – For sight: seeing shapes, colors, and light.

  • Ears – For hearing: detecting sound and maintaining balance.

  • Nose – For smell: identifying different scents and aiding taste.

  • Tongue – For taste: distinguishing sweet, sour, bitter, and salty.

  • Skin – For touch: feeling temperature, texture, and pressure.

Through these lessons, students understand the importance of each sense organ and how to care for them.

Soil

The course also introduces students to soil as an essential natural resource:

  • Sandy Soil is examined in detail, including its characteristics, uses, and role in farming and construction.

By the end of the term, students gain a better understanding of their own bodies and the natural world around them.
