About Course

This term introduces students to essential home management and basic clothing construction skills, equipping them with knowledge and habits for healthy and responsible living.

The term begins with lessons on the importance of cleaning the house, classroom, and general environment, including the tools and cleaning agents used for effective sanitation. Students will also learn how to make simple detergents, encouraging practical hygiene practices.

Next, the focus shifts to meal planning and healthy eating, where students will explore the three main meals of the day and how to plan them. They will also understand the negative effects of poor meal planning and unhealthy eating habits, promoting better nutritional awareness.

In the latter part of the term, attention turns to basic sewing skills. Students will be introduced to temporary and permanent stitches, their types and uses, and finally, an introduction to clothing construction through seams, laying the foundation for future textile and fashion skills.
