About Course

This term the course introduces students to fundamental concepts in Computer Studies, with a special focus on artificial intelligence (AI), digital drawing tools, and basic programming skills.

After a brief revision of previous knowledge, learners are introduced to Artificial Intelligence, covering its definition, significance, and simple real-life applications to spark interest in emerging technologies. The next phase involves exploring computer-based drawing, where students identify and learn to use popular drawing packages such as Microsoft Paint, CorelDRAW, and Adobe Photoshop. They will gain hands-on experience with toolbars, drawing functions, and basic painting techniques using Microsoft Paint.

In the final part of the term, attention shifts to Scratch programming. Students will learn the 3S of ScratchStage, Sprite, and Script—and explore how to build simple programs. They will also be introduced to basic Scratch scripts, laying the foundation for logical thinking and coding creativity. This subject aims to develop students’ digital literacy and problem-solving abilities through interactive and practical learning.
