About Course

ABOUT COURSE:

This course introduces learners to foundational concepts in visual and performing arts. It begins with an exploration of shapes, helping students recognize and describe basic geometric forms in their surroundings. Building on this, the course covers colours, guiding students to identify primary and secondary colours and understand their use in daily life. Learners will then delve into the origination of colours, discovering how colours are derived from natural and artificial sources. The course continues with colour mixing, where students experiment with combining colours to create new ones, fostering creativity and critical thinking.

In addition to visual arts, the course incorporates elements of music and cultural expression. Students will engage with a traditional song, learning its lyrics, rhythm, and cultural significance. This is followed by traditional dance, where they will practice basic dance movements and understand their role in community celebrations. The course also emphasizes the importance of music in culture and communication, highlighting its emotional and social impact. Finally, students will be introduced to craft making, encouraging them to use simple materials to create artistic objects, thus developing fine motor skills and creative expression.
