Cultural and Creative Arts

This term explores a blend of visual and performing arts, aiming to develop students’ creativity, artistic expression, and performance skills. It begins with an introduction to life drawing to assess students’ readiness, followed by the study of rhythmic patterns, enhancing their understanding of timing and coordination in art and music. Students will also explore the theatrical elements and roles of different personnel in a performance setting and delve into various forms of dance, enriching their appreciation for movement and cultural expression.

As the term progresses, learners will engage in imaginative and creative drawing to boost originality and innovation in their artwork. They will also participate in choral singing, helping them develop vocal harmony and teamwork. Additionally, the curriculum covers casting and rehearsal processes for stage productions, building their understanding of theatre practices, and concludes with a hands-on project in card making and decoration, fostering fine motor skills and creativity in craft design.
