About Course

This term’s Social Studies syllabus starts by addressing conflict, helping students understand its causes and effects, followed by population census, which teaches them the importance of counting people for national planning. The focus then moves to self-esteem, helping students build personal confidence, and national economy, where they learn how a country’s wealth is managed.

The second half of the term dives into the sectors of the Nigerian economy and the significance of mineral resources. Finally, students explore economic reform measures over two weeks, understanding how governments try to improve economic conditions, and wrap up with economic institutions, which highlights the bodies that manage and regulate Nigeria’s economic activities.
